How TryCatch Limited handles personal data collected through sourcecharter.com.
Last updated 18 October 2026
Who we are
Source Charter is a product of TryCatch Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company no. 695009). We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For anything about it, email hello@trycatch.ie.
This notice covers this website only. Data that customers process with Source Charter itself is covered by their agreement with us.
What we collect and why
When you visit the site
- The site sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser’s storage, and neither does our analytics.
- To deliver each page, our hosting provider handles your IP address and the technical details your browser sends with a request, such as the page asked for and the browser type. We don’t keep logs of visits ourselves.
- We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a cookieless service hosted in the EU. It records the pages viewed, the site you came from, your browser, device type and country, and a few actions such as downloading a sample pack. It doesn’t store your IP address or identify you, and we only see totals.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding which parts of it are useful.
When you contact us
- If you send the enquiry form or email us, we receive the details you give us: your name, work email and organisation, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as which documents you’d like your AI assistant to use or how you heard about us.
- The enquiry form emails your details straight to us. The website itself doesn’t store them.
- We use them to reply, to arrange a demo or discuss a pilot with you, and to keep a record of our conversation.
- We don’t sell your details, and we don’t send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, and steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site in its Ireland (EU) region, delivers it, and sends us what you enter in the enquiry form.
- Google (Google Workspace) receives the messages and enquiries sent to us.
- Plausible Analytics counts visits, as described above.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Where it’s processed
We keep data in the EU where we can, and the site is hosted in Ireland. To load quickly, pages are delivered from the location nearest to you, which may be outside the EU if you are. Where a provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and our correspondence about them: up to two years after our last contact. If we go on to work together, for as long as we do and as long afterwards as the law requires.
- We don’t keep logs of visits. The enquiry form’s service logs only whether each enquiry was sent, never your details, and deletes that after 30 days.
- Amazon Web Services may keep its own operational records for security, under its own terms.
- Analytics: totals only, which contain no personal data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it, or delete it;
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- give it to you, or to another organisation, in a portable format, where that applies.
Email hello@trycatch.ie. There’s no charge, and we’ll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s data protection authority, at dataprotection.ie, though we’d welcome the chance to put things right first.
Security
The whole site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and its files are kept in private storage. Enquiries are seen only by the people at TryCatch Limited who handle them.
Other points
- We don’t make decisions about you by automated means, including profiling.
- The site is for businesses and isn’t aimed at children.
- If we change this notice, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
